Agencies – A listing of pre-approved agencies can be found in the PDF below, Campus Ministry Office and on the Christian Service Bulletin Board located next to the Counseling Office. All service opportunities if not on the listed pre-approved agencies, must fall with in the Rubric or be Pre-Approved by the Christian Service Coordinator.
Service Verification Form – Complete the Service Verification Form during each service experience, by printing the PDF below. Then turn in completed Service Verification Forms to the Christian Service drop box located next to the Counseling Office throughout the semester. Remember that service hours are due two weeks before the start of scheduled final exams each semester. Fall semester due date is November 22, 2019 by 3:00 PM and Spring semester due date is May 8, 2020 by 3:00 PM (for Graduating Seniors only, all hours are due on May 1, 2020 by 3:00 PM).
Canned Food Drive -- November 5 - 27, 2019
*12 cans = 1 hour
*2 hour MAXIMUM
Print and Complete Service Hour Verification Form and bring to Mentoring Period teacher to be signed at time of donation only (1 form for every 12 cans).
Donations accepted in mentoring classes only.
Cans must be in good condition (no dents) and have an expiration date of more than 6 months
from the date of acceptance.
Toy Drive -- November 25-December 6, 2019: Serra High School will be holding a toy drive to collect new unwrapped toys to donate to a child in need. student's may earn 1 service hour for toys valued at $20.00, however there is a 2 hour maximum on this opportunity. There is a pre-filled Service Hour Verification Form below, and it must be used at time of donation in your Mentoring Period class only. Please bring all donations to your respective Mentoring Period class, with your original receipt attached, beginning Monday, November 13th through Friday December 8th.
Midnight Mission – September 6th – In order to participate in this service opportunity please print the following PDF file below: 1-Midnight Mission Student Permission Form 9/6/19. Complete all forms and turn in to Mr. Murphy in room 403. Space is limited and participants will be accepted based on completed forms received on a first come, first served basis.
Special Olympics – TBD (Closed) – In order to participate in this service opportunity please print the following PDF file below: TBA. Complete and submit all forms to Mr. Kramer in room 204 as soon as possible. Mr. Murphy will confirm your Registration with your assigned number. You are NOT REGISTERED unless you receive your number from Mr. Murphy. Space is limited and participants will be accepted based on completed forms received on a first come, first served basis. If you are registering from this point on you will need to provide your own transportation to and from the event and bring all original completed copies of the required forms to the event.
