Serra STEM Program Leads The Way

Junipero Serra High School is proud to offer Project Lead the Way's (PLTW) Biomedical Science program to its students and prospective students. The PLTW Biomedical Science program is the best of its kind in the United States, providing students with world-class STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) education, applied to the classroom through real-world, hands-on projects and activities that help them understand how the information and skills they are learning in math and science can be applied to real life. Students are encouraged to find solutions to problems, work in teams, and are ultimately better prepared for the 21st century STEM workforce.

The PLTW Biomedical Science Program at Junipero Serra High School is a three-year program for students who are interested in pursuing a major in science, technology, engineering and/or math while in college, with the primary focuses of the program in the classroom being Principles of the Biomedical Sciences, Human Body Systems, and Medical Interventions. Please feel free to contact Ms. Lindsay Martin at [email protected] if you need any additional information or have any questions. You may also visit the national Project Lead The Way website at www.pltw.org for descriptions of the courses and information about the program.
