Gardena, CA, August 8, 2014: Joshua Dabbs has been named the next Athletic Director at Serra, Principal Jeffrey Guzman announced today. Dabbs, who takes over immediately, spent six years as a teacher, football coach and assistant to former AD Ted Dunlap.
Guzman cited Dabbs’s experience and knowledge of the school community as his primary strength. “I believe Josh will work for the good of the school and its students,” Guzman said. “He has had various roles here at Serra, all of which prepare him perfectly for this responsibility.”
Dabbs said he is excited about bringing the Serra athletic department to new levels of excellence. “I’m looking forward to keeping our well-known programs at their elite level, and helping bring the lesser-known programs to the forefront. This is a great opportunity for me and I’m grateful for the challenge.”
