Memoir A day doesn't go by where I don't think about my little cousin Fred, the love and respect I had for my cousin can never be measured. When we were kids Fred would drive me crazy because he would get away with murder. Fred would pull your hair, punch you, run over your feet and since he was the baby you couldn't do anything. But as time went on the young cousin faze faded and I started to realize that Fred was something special.

I remember being in LA one year and reading the sunday paper and there's Fred on the front page with the article detailing how he lead his Varsity football team to the championship. That was Fred, always figuring out the impossible and making something out of nothing.

He loved my daughters and they adored him, and I think my wife had a crush on him too. I remember right before he passed away we were talking at our Family Reunion and he was telling me about all of his plans and he was so excited. The new apartment, the car and the new job he had lined up. The world was calling and he was ready to answer...but he was called away for something more important.

To lose a favorite cousin is the worst thing in the world, but to have it happen twice made me appreciate my family that much more.

I appreciate being able to share these memories of Fred, it really helps to ease the pain.

Regards,

Donald Robertson
