Year 1956-58
Memoir In 1956, I, Jim Stough, turned 16. Having wonderful parents, I was presented a 1948 Chrysler convertible for my birthday. (April 5th). After learning to drive and spending that summer of 1956 having fun, school started in SEP of 56. I lived in Hawthorne and had many friends that lived in the area. In the morning I would pick-up, Bob Miller, RJ Henley, Bob Easton, Mike Thorton, Charlie Beaubian, Larry Niebacher, Fred Madigan, and a couple more whose names escape me now. We would pile in the car and make our way to Serra, parking in the south lot. Many of us stayed after school because of the various sports that we played. The CAR would also wait so that all would have a ride home. We had lots of fun in those years. If you look in the yearbooks, you will also see that most of us had very short haircuts. This was because every Tuesday everyone (that wanted) would come to my house in Hawthorne for the weekly trim. GREAT YEARS WITH LOTS OF WONDERFUL MEMORIES
