LOS ALAMITOS — Interscholastic athletic competition for the member schools of the CIF Southern Section came to an exciting close for the 2011-2012 school year this month.
During the past school year, the CIF Southern Section awarded 146 divisional team championships in 23 varsity sports.
Topping the list of schools with multiple team titles for the year is Serra which captured four
divisional championships in boy’s basketball, girl’s basketball and one each in girls and boys track and field. Three schools (St. Margaret’s, Mater Dei and Palm Desert) ended the year with three titles.
