Colorado receiver Richardson takes Pac-12 honors

Colorado receiver Paul Richardson, a sophomore from Gardena’s Serra High School, is the Pac-12 offensive player of the week after catching a school-record tying 11 passes for a school-record 284 yards and two touchdowns in the Buffaloes’ 36-33 overtime loss to California.

Ten of his 11 receptions went for first downs (school record for a receiver and third most in conference history) and 162 yards were after the catch. The scoring plays covered 66 and 78 yards.

He had 297 all-purpose yards including one rush for 9 yards and a punt return for 4 yards.

It was also Richardson’s fourth two-TD game, third most ever at Colorado. Richardson now has six career plays of 50 yards or longer, and his 10-career TD catches have covered 362 yards.
