Junipero Serra High School *UPDATE*

March 23, 2020

Dear Serra Parents/Guardians:

We pray that this message finds you and your family well. This letter is to keep you updated with the most recent information we received from the Archdiocese of Los Angeles late afternoon today.

Junipero Serra High School closure period has been extended until Sunday April 19, 2020. Our intent is to resume in-person instruction for students and faculty instructors on Monday, April 20, 2020,  yet much will depend on orders from public health officials at that time. We will continue to communicate with you any new information and updates as it becomes available.

Please be aware that our faculty instructors will continue to conduct the Remote Learning Instructions through Google Classroom for your son/daughter on a daily basis based on the bell schedule as published on the School Cavalier Calendar until Wednesday, April 8, 2020.

However, as of Thursday, April 9, 2020 through Friday, April 17, 2020, NO Remote Leaning will be conducted as this is the Easter Break period for faculty instructors and students as published on the School Cavalier Calendar as well. This time is for you to spend with your families and loved ones and to celebrate the Holy Resurrection Feast.

Please know that, the school office will remain open for regular business hours during the closure period.

Please see attached letter from the Archdiocese of Los Angeles from Paul M. Escala, Superintendent of Schools.

Thank you for your continued support, cooperation and understanding during this very challenging time. Stay Safe!

Sincerely in Christ
