Los Angeles, CA, March 7, 2014: Serra is proud to announce that the school has partnered with Art Trek, Inc., an independent, hands-on, not-for-profit arts program that has provided quality visual, literary and performing arts education for several middle and elementary schools across Los Angeles County since 1992. Their mission is to “create a positive and confidence-building experience for individuals of all ages and socio-economic backgrounds: in classrooms, in public facilities, in our studio and wherever we can meet a need”. Director Nancy Young and lead teacher Debra Snider have developed Art Trek's first high school program in coordination with Tim Boyer 71'. Mr. Boyer has been a veteran art instructor at Serra for nearly 20 years.
