2022 Baccalaureate Mass/Award Ceremony and Graduation Ceremony

Hello Parents & Students of the Class of 2022,
 
CONGRATULATIONS!  Please take a moment and read everything below in its entirety as we are including pertinent information regarding our upcoming graduation event days.
 
GRADUATION CONTRACTS DUE MONDAY, MAY 9TH
Graduation Contract can be found in student's "College Hub" in their Google Classroom account
 
NOTE: We begin all our graduation events promptly at the scheduled time.
 
Wednesday, June 1st at 1pm:  MANDATORY -- Graduation Rehearsal
  • Rehearsal will run from 1pm - 3:30pm
  • All seniors are required to report on campus no later than 1pm. 
  • We will begin rehearsals promptly at 1pm on the Serra Athletic Field. 
  • Attendance will be taken.
  • Dress comfortably per Special Dress attire as noted in our Serra Student/Parent Handbook
  • Please make sure you eat breakfast, brunch and/or lunch prior to arriving.
  • Mrs. Encelan and ASB will distribute caps and gowns at the end of rehearsals
  • Duration for the Graduation Rehearsal is approximately 2 hours -- we normally end by 3:30pm
 
NOTE the following:
 
At this time, seniors are permitted to invite their family and guests for each ceremony -- without limitations.    
NOTE: Serra will make any necessary updates per CDC Guidelines if an increase in COVID cases arises prior to our graduation festivities.  
 
 
Thursday, June 2nd:  Baccalaureate Mass & Senior Award Ceremony
  • Location:  Serra Athletic Field
  • Family Members may enter through the Athletic Plaza beginning at 3:30pm
  • Face masks will be optional (Per L.A. Archdiocesan March 12th recommendation)
  • Senior Student Arrival Time/Check-in at 4:00pm through Room 405
  • Line-Up is at 4:30pm by the 100 Wing
  • Baccalaureate Mass/Awards Ceremony begins promptly at 5pm (Duration is approximately two hours)
     
Friday, June 3rdClass of 2022 Graduation Ceremony
  • Location:  Serra Athletic Field
  • Family Members may enter through the Athletic Plaza beginning at 10:30am
  • Face masks will be optional (Per L.A. Archdiocesan March 12th recommendation)
  • Senior Student Arrival Time/Check-in at 10:30am through Room 405
  • Line-Up for Class Photo is taken promptly at 11am on Senior Lawn
  • Graduation Ceremony begins promptly at 1pm (Duration is exactly 60 minutes)
 

 

Students' Dress Attire for Baccalaureate Mass/Award Ceremony & Graduation Ceremony:

  • Students are required to dress in semi-formal attire (as if attending Sunday church service). 
  • Lady Cavaliers ~ Dressy, Flat shoes or dressy sandals (No high heels will be permitted on turf field)
  • Lady Cavaliers ~ Dress or Pant suit permissible.  
  • Gentlemen Cavaliers ~ Dress shirt, Dress Pants, Dress Shoes, and Tie

 

Approved Items for family members to bring for Baccalaureate Mass/Awards Ceremony:

  • Festive Attitude -- Enjoy every moment!
  • Personal Camera/Cell phone camera
  • Light Sweater/Light jacket

 

 

Approved Items for family members to bring for the Graduation Ceremony:

  • Festive Attitude -- Enjoy every moment!
  • Personal Camera/Cell phone camera
  • Light Sweater/Light jacket
  • Noise-makers are permissible
  • Confetti-poppers are permissible
  • Senior Grad Fan Picture with handles permissible
  • Senior Head Picture Cut-Out permissible
  • Please avoid bringing banners or balloons that will obstruct the view of guests sitting behind you
 
Senior Graduates ~
  • Seniors who plan to wear a cultural or family stole may wear only for the June 3rd Graduation Ceremony.  Once the Class Photo is taken at 11am, students may wear their cultural or family stole for the graduation ceremony.
